How Engagements Typically Unfold
Initial Conversation (30-45 minutes)
We discuss your enrollment challenges, institutional context, and what you’re hoping to accomplish. This isn’t a sales call—it’s a strategic conversation to determine if CVET is the right fit for your needs.
Scoping and Proposal
If there’s a fit, I develop a customized scope of work and proposal based on your specific situation. Every engagement is different because every institution is different.
On-Site Discovery and Assessment
Most engagements begin with time on campus—meeting with key stakeholders, reviewing data, understanding your institutional culture and competitive context. I work from understanding your reality.
Analysis and Recommendations
I synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations grounded in your mission, your financial reality, and your market position. You’ll get strategic direction, not generic best practices.
Implementation Support
Depending on the engagement, I can provide ongoing support as you implement recommendations—whether that’s retreat facilitation, board presentations, or ongoing advisory as you execute strategy.
What to Expect
Honest assessment. I’ll tell you what I see, even if it’s not what you want to hear. Sugar-coating enrollment challenges doesn’t help anyone.
Confidentiality. Everything we discuss stays confidential. I don’t share institutional data, strategic direction, or even the fact that we’re working together without your explicit permission.
No cookie-cutter solutions. What worked at one of my prior institutions won’t necessarily work at your institution. I bring frameworks and experience, but strategy must be built for your specific context.
Partnership, not vendor relationship. I’m not here to sell you services you don’t need. If I don’t think I can help, I’ll tell you that too—and may point you toward resources that can.
